  wife and i have not reported a single hour of fs in 3-4 months.

  while my wife is mostly doing for me (positive thing), i know she would have rather done it.

  elder asked me to turn in my fs report this past week and then he added... "we need to talk".

  A question about the 'baptism talk' at current assemblies.

  my memory is that after the 'candidates' answered the questions, the speaker stated that they should be 'baptized without delay' or words to that effect.

  is this still the case.

  is there any recording you can refer me too which gives the audible evidence?

  What would happen if all or most of the Governing Body died in some kind of accident?

  would the legal department step in and issue orders?

  would the rest of the gb quickly appoint new members?

  I picture elders and publishers walking around aimlessly in the Kingdom Hall bumping into chairs and walls.

  I think that, as long as it was delivered by JW.org or in print, that most would obey any order or instructions that they received. I don't think many would ask questions. They would just want someone, anyone, to give directions, no questions asked.

  With the organization controlled, totally and completely by the Governing Body, what would the Watchtower Society do to hold it all together IF ALL OR MOST of the Governing Body were to die?

  Would the legal department step in and issue orders?

  Would the rest of the GB quickly appoint new members?

  What if they all died?

  Who could have enough authority to take control?

  Yahweh and Jesus Lose the Quickbuild Crown

  quickbuild's are something the jws crow about a lot as evidence of yahweh's "spirit" working on them, but amongst the puffery' there was a solid fact that the buildings were often the result of good planning rather than divine assistance.. and, in most cases the buildings were seldom built in a weekend.

  a concrete slab foundation needed time to dry out before walls could be built.

  and before the slab could be poured, the ground had to be levelled and services like plumbing and drainage roughed in.

  I worked in my home woodworking shop for two months, evenings and weekends, to build four ministry school tables for a 'quick build' double Kingdom Hall. The tables were made out of two inch oak and laminate. They were very labour intensive. I had to put every thing else on hold. When the quick build weekend came, I delivered the tables, looked around at all the accountant and real estate agent elders with yellow hard hats on, and went home.

  Two weeks later I got a call from an elder. He told me that the tables were too big for the platforms and told me that I would have to rebuild the tables to a smaller size. ???????? The tables were built exactly to the prints I received.

  I politely told him '...I don't think so. Get someone else', and hung up.

  So Chester cannot conduct the field service meeting. No one knows why. It's enough to know that he 'just can't'.

  When the car groups are organized Chester can work with Becky. Chester likes working with Becky. No one said anything about Chester not working with Becky. Just that he could not conduct the field service arrangement. So Chester asks Sis Conductor, ' Can I work with Becky'? 'Sure' says Sis Conductor. That phone call didn't say anything about working with Becky. Just not to let Chester conduct the field service arrangement. I'm sure they would have told me if he shouldn't work with Becky. 'Of course Chester, you can work with Becky. Maybe she can go in your car. Why don't you take her to some of your return visits? Why not go alone with Becky?'
